Tracy Porter

This is my friend, Tracy Porter, and her horse Caz. Tracy is a trainer/clinician from Wisconsin and is spending some time with us developing a new specialty act. Check out Tracy's website:

www.tracy-porter.net

She has a beautiful training facility in Wisconsin - I bet she doesn't miss the weather right now...

Media Coverage - Symphony of Horses

Here's a newspaper clipping from our performance at Symphony of Horses Sunday night. That's us in the bottom picture playing "Indiana Jones" in our new movie-themed act. Our horses were great, as usual, and the audience really got into the act with us. We'll have more pics up soon -

Symphony of Horses

We had a great time at the Symphony of Horses performance Sunday evening. It was held at the University of Florida's O'Connell Center and there were thousands in attendance. Here's a pic of Carson Kressley holding my promo "bottle" of Mane N Tail Detangler at a pre-performance party. I'll have more pics up soon!

Specialty Training and Lessons

This is one of our students, Elizabeth Guillebeau, with her horse, Kermit. She recently spent several weeks of specialty training with us and her horse has quite a repitoire. Liz coaches the award-winning EasyRiders Drill Team of Southwest Missouri (www.theeasyriders.org). We not only provide entertainment, but also conduct specialty training clinics and private training as well.

Roman Riding

I found this picture taken during a photo shoot a couple of years ago at the Kentucky Horse Park. I'm thinking about putting it on the back of my trailer with a "Happy Trials" byline...Roy Rogers was always one of my heroes...

CiCi

A fan recently requested a picture of my dog, CiCi (Sierra). She's posing on the haystack, where she likes to hang out while I'm training.

Symphony of Horses

This is a picture of us performing at a professional indoor football game. Spanky is executing a courbette - a high-schooled movement, consisiting of a rear and leap, performed by the Lippizan Stallions. As you can see, he can get some pretty big air...

We're really looking forward to our December 10th performance at Symphony of Horses. We've choreographed a great movie theme - Indiana Jones - in which we'll roman ride with fire stunts, perform some intricate whip cracking in a great fight sequence, cavalry-style trick shooting, trick horses and fire jumping! This event benefits therapeutic riding and features other equine performers and celebrities such as Pat Parelli, Karson Cressley, the Arabian Nights Black Stallion and more, performing at the University of Florida's O'Connell Center in Gainesville FL! We'll post pics from the event as soon as possible.

Trick Riding

These blogs are a great place to post photos. I dug this one up of me during a slick-saddle trick riding exhibition last year. Dig those "TennyLama" cowboy tennis shoes...

Roman Riding

Now, that's what I call a "bun warmer"...Yes, that's a real flame passing under me as I'm roman riding the boys at a PRCA rodeo in KY earlier this season. A good friend of mine recently sent this photo to me, reminding me of some great times I had performing at the Kentucky Horse Park (www.kyhorsepark.com). We hope to be back in '07 and have lots of great stuff planned for our "Best of the West" fan base in Lexington.

Denny Chapman and Spanky

We're really excited about our winter projects and upcoming events. We'll be performing with Pat Parelli, Karson Cressley and several other equine celebrities December 10th in the "Symphony of Horses" production in Gainesville FL. This event benefits the Marion County Therepeutic Riding Program. We've also been asked to serve as entertainment and speaker at the famous "Mule Days" in Columbia TN in April. Check out www.dennychapman.com for a complete list of upcoming events!

Charlie Brown - Trick and Liberty Horse

This is Charlie Brown. He's coming along well and has made a few appearances on the road. I'll post some performance pics of him soon. www.dennychapman.com

Singing Cowboy - Roman Riding

This is a picture of me singing while roman riding in the "Best of the West" show at the Kentucky Horse Park. Visit the park's website at www.kyhorsepark.com, and while you're at it, check out our site at www.dennychapman.com - Happy Trails!

Singing Cowboy

I found these pictures recently - they are from the Kentucky Horse Park's show "Best of the West." I opened the show singing and riding through the audience. The show also featured trick horses, trick roping, whip cracking and roman riding. I'll post more "Best of the West" pics soon.

Cowboy Mounted Shooting - Rifle

This pic of me and Spanky was taken at the Cowboy Mounted Shooting National Championships in St Louis, MO, a few years ago. Spanky is not only a roman riding, fire jumping and trick riding horse, but also a certified mounted shooting horse through the CMSA. Check out www.dennychapman.com for more great pics of Spanky as well as the other horses we use for entertainment and clinics in Denny Chapman's WILD WEST ENTERTAINMENT and SPECIALTY TRAINING.

Trick Shooting

Here's another interesting pic of Spanky we took one day when I was practicing some mounted trick shooting - yes, I'm riding backwards...I never did like to do it the simple way...If you look closely, you'll see the smoke streaks from the embers of the blank load we use to shoot balloons on the run. Same blanks used in Hollywood movies and the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association. Spanky has taken me to the CMSA World Championships twice.

Trick Horse Training

I found this great picture of Spanky that was taken at the Can-Am Equine Emporium in Ontario in March of '05. We were conducting a trick horse training clinic and specialty act for the evening portion of the horse fair there.

Spanky is a 10-year-old quarter horse who is also a roman riding horse, fire jumper, and a great platform for trick roping, whip cracking and mounted shooting. I'll post more neat pics of him and our other horses soon - stay tuned...

Denny Chapman Roman Riding at TSC

Here's a pic from a recent appearance at a TSC store in Ocala FL. We were there on behalf of one of our great sponsors - Mane N Tail products. TSC carries Mane N Tail (www.manentail.com) products and is one of my favorite stores. Look for us to make more promotional appearances on behalf of Mane N Tail in the very near future. Who knows...we might just be coming to your local TSC with our horses!

Trick Horse

This is a great picture of one of my trick horses, Dusty. He's a 14-year-old American Quarter Horse who is not only a great trick horse, but one of my Roman Riding team members. He, Spanky and Charlie, are the 3 main horses I use to perform specialty acts and clinics around the country. I'll "introduce" you to our other horses in the near future. In the mean time, check out our website at www.dennychapman.com for more details.
