Denny Chapman Ranked #1 in Florida Mounted Rifle Shooting Points by CMSA

Denny Chapman finished the 2011 CMSA season with a #1 ranking in the Mounted Rifle Shooting division for the state of Florida. Chapman, a mounted shooting horse trainer and clinician, wild west entertainer and media host from Ocala FL, will be competing in the CMSA World Championships in the pistol and rifle divisions October 18-23 in Amarillo TX. "I'm excited to represent my sponors at such a prestigious event," Chapman said. Denny Chapman named to CMSA 2011 World Championship Color-Commentary Staff

Denny Chapman was recently named to the 2011 Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association World Championship Color-Commentary staff. The event, held in Amarillo TX, features the best mounted shooters in the world competing for prize money and buckles. Denny Chapman Signature Saddle Unveiled


Stagecoach West (www.stagecoachwest.com) unveiled Denny Chapman's Signature Mounted Shooting Saddle at the CMSA Eastern U.S. Championships this weekend. The saddle features an Equi-Fit Evolution Tree with Full QH Bars, a deep pocket seat, 7/8 flat-plate rigging, 5" cantle, mutiple seat sizes and weighs in at just a little over 30lbs. Denny Chapman wins SASS Men's All-Around World Championship



Denny Chapman won the Men's All-Around World Championship at the 2011 SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) "End of Trail". The event, held at Founder's Ranch in Edgewood NM June 22-26, combined mounted and cowboy action shooting stages to crown the most versatile cowboy shooter in the country. "I had a great time competing in the All-Around," Chapman said, "I flew in last-minute and ended up doing pretty good." Chapman thanked his sponsors and the Double E Ranch, who loaned him a mounted shooting horse for the event. "The mare I rode in the mounted portion of the event was everything I had hoped for, "Denny said, "She was fast and powerful with a good handle." Chapman ended up winning a Reserve World Championship in the seperate mounted match, making for two titles from the prestigious event. "I love mounted shooting and have a growing appreciation for cowboy action shooting as well," Chapman said, "I'm already looking forward to next year!"

Denny won the Overall Championship at a 4-stage CMSA-sanctioned match in Newberry FL on June 11, 2011. Denny Chapman won the titles of 2011 CMSA South Central Regional M5 Champion and 2011 CMSA Reserve National Rifle Champion recently while competing in Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association events in Tunica MS. He was also the Top Cowboy in the Starline Brass Showcase of Champions and the Top Lever Action Shooter in the finals. "I've got great horses and the best equipment - my sponsors do an awesome job at keeping us in the winner's circle," Chapman said. Denny Chapman - CMSA Mounted Rifle Shooting

Denny Chapman won another CMSA Mounted Rifle Shooting match in Cookeville TN last weekend, ranking him #2 in the nation by the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association for the specialty sport. "I love mounted rifle shooting - it's an adreniline rush! It requires you to have good horsemanship, a well-trained mounted shooting horse and you have to be a multi-tasker...dropping the reins and guiding the horse with your seat and legs as your shooting," Chapman said. "I've got the best sponsors and companies behind me and 2011 is looking like a great year for me as a competitor and with our media and entertainment work as well." Chapman will be competing in the National Championships in Tunica MS next month and was featured in the April issue of Cowboys & Indians Magazine.

Denny Chapman wins Multiple Titles at Bay Area Bandits SASS Mounted Shooting match


Denny Chapman won Men's Level 5, High Point Cowboy, Mounted Rifle division and was Match Overall Winner at the Bay Area Bandit's SASS Mounted Shooting event in Dover FL yesterday. "The Bandits have a great SASS club," Chapman said, "They were extremely hospitable as I had a radio show appearance lined up later in the day - they offered to let me shoot first in the last stage so I could make it to the show." Chapman, a cast member of Season 1 of History's 'Top Shot' is well-known for his mounted shooting horse training program and clinics, as well as his Wild West Entertainment business. "I'm flying out to the SASS Winter Range this week to compete in the Western National Championships of Mounted Shooting - then producing a pro-jackpot mounted shooting event at the Central Florida Fair March 4, with Wild West specialty act entertainment and mounted shooting exhibitions for two days leading up to the event," Chapman said, "I keep a lot of 'Irons in the Fire', so to speak, and love my work and lifestyle between my media work, competitions, training and live entertainment." Chapman is also known as the co-host of Western Shooting Horse TV, and will be seen on RFD-TV this Spring in a new series produced by WSH's Ken Amorosano. Denny Chapman at Gander Academy


I had a great time signing autographs at the Gander Mountain Academy in Lake Mary, FL. This state-of-the-art facility features a live fire range, high-tech "V" range (virtual), as well as 180 degree and 300 degree target and scenerio simulators previously unavailable to the civilian population. My meet/greet table was next to the Landry's from History's "Swamp People" - they are a good bunch of guys and we had a great time signing pics all day.
