Kentucky Tour Update...

Well, we've fulfilled 2 of the 6 appearances we've contracted for so far in Central Kentucky. Thursday night we entertained government leaders from all 50 states at the Council of State Governments National Convention at the Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in Lexington. Tonight, we performed for the Lexington Horsemen Arena Football League Team, opening the pre-game show with "Spanky" - the original horse mascot of the team when they began several years ago and providing a half-time mounted whip cracking and shooting performance. Team staffers said there were between 5000-6000 attending the game, which took place in the famous Rupp Arena. I've included a couple of backstage pics with this blog entry and will have more pics and video to come! Tomorrow we perform our popular "Surfin' Cowboy" specialty act the Lexington Polo Club's Bluegrass Cup Tournament on the Man o' War Polo Field at the Kentucky Horse Park. Next weekend, we will perform for University of Kentucky Alumni and their families at Spindletop Hall, then a special appearance at Curiswood Farm in Georgetown, and finishing our tour with a Cowboy Mounted Shooting clinic at Bittersweet Farm in Lexington. Stay tuned to http://www.dennychapman.com/ for updated schedules!

Upcoming Central Kentucky Tour

We'll be hitting the road soon for a 2-week tour in Central Kentucky. Performances for the Council of State Governments Annual Meeting, University of Kentucky's Spindletop Hall, the Lexington Horesmen Professional Arena Football Team, Curtiswood Farm's "That's Entertainment" are lined up as well as a private Cowboy Mounted Shooting Clinic in beautiful Lexington KY. Our "Surfin' Cowboy" specialty act is becoming more and more popular and we're getting dozens of inquiries every month about performing around the country. As we grow, we'll be able to add more performance dates to our already busy schedule. Keep up to date by checking our website at www.dennychapman.com/ for news and updates to our calendar of events.

Gunnpoint Extreme Rodeo/Apprentice

We just returned from the pro mounted shooting match produced by Randy Gunn called the Gunnpoint Extreme Rodeo. It featured great music, specialty acts and fast & furious mounted shooting in Port Charlotte FL. After winning the first go-round and finishing in the top 4 overall, I came home with a nice paycheck and some new entertainment contacts and had a great time. Here are a couple of pics of our apprentice, Stephanie Cons, with our Friesian stallion, Igram B, in harness. She is learning how to apply trick and high-school horse training to many disciplines - including driving....

Denny Chapman's New Mane N Tail commercials

We just returned from shooting some new Mane N Tail commercials for the HorseCity.com television show in the Augusta GA area. The new commercials should air in a few weeks and will be online at http://www.horsecity.com/. Canterbury Trails farm in Grovetown GA hosted the shoot with me and rodeo announcer/tv host Alan Moorhead. This weekend, we head to Port Orange FL to participate in the GunnPoint Extreme Rodeo, then up to Ohio to emcee a CMSA Classic Mounted Shooting Event! Big thanks to Mane N Tail for being my priniciple sponosor in my entertainment and training endeavors.
