Here's our other Canadian student, Stephanie, shooting on Dusty, one of my trick horses. She lived up to her nickname - "Stephie Oakley!"

Cowboy Mounted Shooting
We had a great time at the Florida Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association's competition this weekend. Our Canadian trick riding students, Joy and Stephanie, decided they wanted to give it a try. So, we put them through a week-long crash course and signed them up, loaned them a couple of horses and they did us proud shooting several courses clean and in good time! Spanky and I finished in the top 10 overall Saturday and 2nd overall in the Mounted Rifle Competition. Dusty had the crowd in stiches with a Trick Horse performance after the match Saturday night and Charlie showed off his Liberty Horse skills in the same arena he competed in just minutes before without a hitch! We often do some Mounted Trick Shooting in our Wild West Specialty Acts and are looking forward to the next CMSA match!

Hoggetowne Medieval Faire
Here are more pics from the Medieval Faire in Gainesville. Hoggetowne is a lot of fun with activities for the whole family. A special thanks to "Bones" and our friends with the camel rides and "Judy" the elephant and Daniel Kilpatrick. Our Canadian Cowgirls, Joy and Stephanie, looked great in their Victorian SideSaddle outfits on Mary Rivers' Friesians, Monte Carlo and Igram B. Of course, our boys, Charlie, Spanky and Dusty were a big hit with Roman Riding, Trick Horse and Liberty performances. Looking forward to next year's Hoggetowne Medieval Faire already!
