Don't try this at home....

I'm holding a target for Whip Artist and Gunspinner, Deke Rivers, at a small birthday gathering I had yesterday...Deke and I have worked together in the past and he taught me a lot about what I know of whip artistry. He put a few more grey hairs on my head...just kidding. He's probably the best gunspinner East of the Mississippi as well. A third-generation Wild West Entertainer, Deke fits right in when it comes to cowboy fun! Enjoy the pics!

Cowboy Mounted Shooting!

As you can probably tell from my previous posts, CMSA is one of my passions and I often use it in my live entertainment appearances as well. We finished a private CMSA clinic yesterday with the Hendricks' from Northern Florida. They were excellent students and showed a great interest in improving their mounted shooting skills. I expect them to excel in the sport and wish them the best! We plan to compete in the next Florida CMSA match mid-July, then again at the Alabama CMSA State Championships in Fayette AL the following weekend. Happy Trails,

OKLAHOMA!

Here's a great picture of the statue of Will Rogers in front of the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK. We just flew back from the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie where we were on the announcing staff for the Western United States Championships of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. It was a huge event with over 200 competitors at this historical arena - and in the year of Oklahoma's Centennial Birthday! We'll be back on the microphone for the Eastern US Championships as well as the World Championships in Las Vegas later this year! Our next appearance will be a TSC/Mane N Tail promo in Ocala Florida June 23. Happy Trails!

Weeki Wachee!

This is my friend, Julie Rivers, who has a great bird show at the famous Weeki Wachee Springs park in Florida. Julie not only trains birds, but is an all-around animal trainer and entertainer who has worked at Arabian Nights and all over the country trick riding and producing specialty acts of all types. We had the opportunity to see Julie's show recently and go behind the scenes at Weeki Wachee. The park is also famous for its Mermaid show - yes, I said Mermaid...Check out the only city of Live Mermaids at http://www.weekiwachee.com/ !

On the road again...

Well, we're heading out on the road again. This week, we'll be at the famous Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, for the CMSA Western United States Championships. We're on the announcing staff of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and will also be on the microphone for the Eastern US Championships (TN/Sept.)and the World Championships in Las Vegas in Nov.
