Denny Chapman Roman Rides Williston FL Christmas Parade

Howdy Folks,

Here's a picture from Dave Colon Photography of me Roman Riding the night-time Christmas Parade in Williston FL last month. Notice the cool Boa Boots my horses are wearing - they're like tennis shoes for horses and grip the pavement for a safe ride. We're heading to the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire in Gainesville FL the next two weekends to show off our roman team and Friesians.

Happy Trails,

Bad news...

I'm afraid I have some bad news or those friends and business associates that check this blog regularly. My Uncle Joe Beckett was admitted to Fish Memorial in Orange City FL for emergency surgery Tuesday. I was called this morning and told that he took a turn for the worse and was moved to ICU. As I was preparing to drive down this afternoon, I was informed that Joe died at approximatley 11:50am...Needless to say, I will be offline and busy for a few days with my family. Thanks for all the phone calls and e-mails.

Dances with Horses - Waterloo IA

We just received a few more pics of our appearance at the National Cattle Congress in Waterloo Iowa last September where we performed our "Surfin' Cowboy" specialty act for Dances with Horses - a benefit event for the ASPIRE therapeutic riding program. We've been touring with this act with great reviews and will have it out again in 2008 (with a few new suprises, of course!). ASPIRE has asked us to book their event again for next year, so look for us in Waterloo Oct 4 in 2008! I have Mane N Tail logos on my hat and shirt in the first three pics of the event rehearsal - they're great sponsors and we're proud to use and endorse their products. Check 'em out at www.manentail.com!

Denny Chapman - another Wild West Christmas Parade!

Here are a couple of pictures of Denny and Stephanie getting ready for the Williston FL Christmas Parade. Denny rode his Roman Riding Team, Spanky and Dusty and Stephanie rode the Friesian Stallion Igram B ("Imke") in the Hippodrome straps (standing up). Stephanie has turned out to be a very talented trick and roman rider and has already performed with us at several venues. This afternoon, we're off to perform our Surfin' Cowboy Specialty Act at the Smokehouse Creek Rodeo Arena for the Toys for Tots event...

Denny Roman Riding in the Ocala Christmas Parade

We had a great time Roman Riding the Ocala Christmas Parade last night. There were an estimated 60,000 spectators along the main route of Silver Springs Boulevard. It took 2 hours to stage the parade and about 1 1/2 hours from beginning to end of the route. We spent some time visiting with the Budweiser Clydesdale Hitch and the Marion County Mounted Patrol in the horse staging area before the Parade. We want to thank Straight Arrow Comany's Mane N Tail products for making our appearance possible. We also thank Easy Care, Inc. for their great product, Boa Boots they're like tennis shoes for horses and provide excellent traction on pavement. I've also used them on astro turf, in hotel lobbies and on stages, among other interesting places where we've been hired to appear with our horses.
Next week, we'll be providing announcing services and specialty acts for the Toys for Tots event at Smokehouse Creek Rodeo Arena!
Happy Trails,
